We've booked our next trip for September, so I'm getting ready to settle into a spring and summer planted squarely here in New York City. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to take on more projects and to recharge our apartment with the energy of life lived there. You know, keeping the fridge stocked with fresh produce, letting my houseplants breathe on the fire escape, making ice cream every so often, and constantly rearranging our things as I'm wont to do (I get it from my mama).
The May List comes from my thoughts about what I'd like to do when I have the time to stay, rest, and reset.
Get moving!
My ClassPass membership has been on hold for over a year and I'm finally restarting it! It'll be nice to work out more than once a month and maybe give my muscles a chance to retain any of the strength I tell myself I gain with each workout.
My husband and I have also decided to give the pups an extra walk during the week: adding a fourth daily walk with whomever comes home later (usually me). It gives Huxley & Fitzgerald an extra bathroom break before their pre-bedtime walk later in the night and gives us the chance to stretch our legs after commuting.
Make more By the Sea pieces
My April List item of making a big batch of coffee scoops was a really enjoyable project. I liked practicing one design over the course of an entire month and I'm going to carry it forward into May. This month, the focus will be on making more pieces for my By the Sea jewelry collection, changing it up a bit from clay to pearls and gold.
Conduct a giveaway
It's been a while since I've done a giveaway on Instagram and I'd like to run one for Mother's Day! Follow along @mammothandminnow to see what you'll have a chance to win!
Help my parents declutter
My parents live within driving distance and are away this month visiting family in China. While they're gone, I'm going to go through my old stuff a bit each time I go over to collect the mail and water the plants. After reading a few articles on how once you have a baby you suddenly start accumulating stuff very quickly, I was reminded that my own parents have decades' worth of random things just from me. I'd like to clear out space to give them back some storage or even allow them to eliminate storage furniture altogether.
Make my Holiday 2019 plan and H2 goals
It's that time of year! Last year's holiday season was my best yet, where I was able to fulfill more orders than the year before while also feeling more prepared than ever before. Still, there's room for improvement. This year, I'd like to start with inventory planning for the holiday season but also a project plan for how to build up to my target inventory levels.
Once my Holiday 2019 plan comes together, I want to return to my goals for Mammoth & minnow and assess what milestones I'd like to work toward in the second half of the year and set dates for steps toward them.
